Delicious Halloween-themed cupcakes filled with creamy cheesecake, perfect for a spooky treat.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Black and orange sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Fill each cupcake liner halfway with the chocolate batter.
- Add a spoonful of the cheesecake mixture on top of the chocolate batter.
- Top with more chocolate batter until the liners are about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Frost with cream cheese frosting and decorate with black and orange sprinkles.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the cheesecake mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- These cupcakes can be made a day in advance for convenience.
