Description

Carne Asada Quesadilla is a delicious Mexican dish made with grilled marinated beef, cheese, and tortillas, offering a perfect blend of flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb carne asada (marinated beef)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Cook the carne asada for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest.
  3. Slice the carne asada into thin strips.
  4. In the same skillet, place one tortilla and sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
  5. Add a portion of the carne asada, onions, and cilantro on top of the cheese.
  6. Fold the tortilla over and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
  8. Cut into wedges and serve hot with salsa or guacamole.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the carne asada overnight.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños or avocado.
  • Serve with sour cream for dipping.
