Ingredients
- 1 lb carne asada (marinated beef)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Cook the carne asada for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest.
- Slice the carne asada into thin strips.
- In the same skillet, place one tortilla and sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
- Add a portion of the carne asada, onions, and cilantro on top of the cheese.
- Fold the tortilla over and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
- Cut into wedges and serve hot with salsa or guacamole.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the carne asada overnight.
- Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños or avocado.
