Delicious caramel apple cinnamon rolls topped with a sweet caramel glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle with diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the dough.
- Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
