Description

Delicious caramel apple cinnamon rolls topped with a sweet caramel glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with caramel sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the dough.
  • Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
