Description
A classic Italian salad made with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients
- Fresh mozzarella cheese – 8 oz
- Ripe tomatoes – 4 medium
- Fresh basil leaves – 1 cup
- Extra virgin olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Balsamic vinegar – 1 tablespoon
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Slice the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes into even slices.
- On a serving platter, alternate layers of mozzarella and tomato slices.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers.
- Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
