Ingredients
- 3 pounds boneless beef short ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
- In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned, then remove and set aside.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the pot, sauté until softened.
- Stir in beef broth, red wine, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
- Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and transfer to the oven.
- Bake for 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let rest before serving.

- For extra flavor, marinate the short ribs overnight.
