A spooky and delicious treat perfect for Halloween, these Bloody Red Velvet Cake Pops are a fun twist on the classic red velvet cake.
Ingredients
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cream cheese frosting
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Red food coloring
- Chocolate sprinkles (for decoration)
- Edible blood (red syrup or gel)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
- Bake the cake and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in the cream cheese frosting until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball.
- Coat each cake pop in the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off.
- Decorate with chocolate sprinkles and drizzle with edible blood for a spooky effect.
- Allow the cake pops to set before serving.
