A spooky and delicious treat perfect for Halloween, these Bloody Red Velvet Cake Pops are a fun twist on the classic red velvet cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Red food coloring
  • Chocolate sprinkles (for decoration)
  • Edible blood (red syrup or gel)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
  2. Bake the cake and let it cool completely.
  3. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in the cream cheese frosting until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  7. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball.
  8. Coat each cake pop in the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off.
  9. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles and drizzle with edible blood for a spooky effect.
  10. Allow the cake pops to set before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense red color, add extra red food coloring to the cake mix.
