Ingredients
- 1 medium beet, roasted and pureed
- 1 bottle of red wine (750ml)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 apple, diced
- 2 cups soda water
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Roast the beet until tender, then let it cool and puree it in a blender.
- In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, orange juice, brandy, simple syrup, and beet puree.
- Add the sliced orange, lemon, and diced apple to the mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, add the soda water for a fizzy touch.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve over ice.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your taste.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the wine and brandy with grape juice and sparkling water.
- Be sure to roast the beet ahead of time to allow it to cool before pureeing.
