Description
A delightful appetizer featuring flaky puff pastry filled with creamy brie cheese and sweet balsamic blackberries.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 8 oz brie cheese
- 1 cup blackberries
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- In a bowl, mix blackberries, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.
- Place a slice of brie cheese on each pastry square.
- Add a spoonful of the blackberry mixture on top of the brie.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal them.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter taste, add more honey to the blackberry mixture.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
