A simple and flavorful recipe for Balsamic Baked Chicken Breast topped with melted mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the balsamic mixture over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the balsamic mixture for a few hours before baking.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.
