Description

Baked Feta Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that combines the creamy texture of feta cheese with a crispy exterior, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 package of puff pastry


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a baking dish, combine feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until the feta is golden and tomatoes are blistered.
  4. While the feta is baking, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
  5. Once the feta is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  6. Place a spoonful of the feta and tomato mixture onto each puff pastry square.
  7. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
  8. Bake the bites for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the feta mixture.
  • These bites can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
  • Serve with a side of balsamic glaze for dipping.
