Baked Feta Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that combines the creamy texture of feta cheese with a crispy exterior, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 8 oz feta cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 package of puff pastry
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a baking dish, combine feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the feta is golden and tomatoes are blistered.
- While the feta is baking, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
- Once the feta is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Place a spoonful of the feta and tomato mixture onto each puff pastry square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
- Bake the bites for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the feta mixture.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with a side of balsamic glaze for dipping.
