Delicious and easy-to-make Boston cream donut holes cooked in an air fryer, perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup pastry cream
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Form the dough into small balls and place them in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly, then fill with pastry cream and drizzle with melted chocolate.

- Ensure the donut holes are not overcrowded in the air fryer for even cooking.
- Use a piping bag for easy filling of the pastry cream.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
